    Churches and other faith-based organizations want to welcome everyone, but many do not know how to reach out and create comfortable environments for people with disabilities. The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities has approved funding for four projects focusing on developing inclusive faith-based communities.

  • Volar Independent Living Center Receives $75,000 Grant

    Senator Jose Rodríguez announced that the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities awarded $75,000 to the Volar Center for Independent Living for the first 18 months of a project to increase local organizations’ ability to provide community-based services for people with developmental disabilities.

  • TCDD Announces Cultural Disability Project

    The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities awarded $10,000 to Advocacy for Living in Mainstream America for a one-year project to improve the lives of people with disabilities from Spanish-speaking families in Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Hays, Caldwell and Burnet counties.

    The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities recently awarded funds to The Sower Foundation in Humble and Centro de Mi Salud in Dallas for outreach and development projects that started on Sept. 1.
