The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD) is pleased to announce the selection of Richard Rendon as a Grants and Contract Compliance Specialist. Rendon is part of the TCDD Grants Management team and he joined TCDD on April 1, 2019.
In his role at TCDD, Rendon monitors grant project performance and provides technical assistance to grantees from across the state of Texas. The grant projects Rendon supports ultimately help people with developmental disabilities achieve their potential for independence, productivity and integration into their communities. Rendon said he enjoys working with grantees and providing support to help their projects succeed.
“I’m grateful to be a part of the TCDD team and work with the many grantees we have around the state,” said Rendon. “Our projects are making a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities in Texas and it’s an honor to be a part of TCDD’s mission.”
When not at work, Rendon enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and competitive team sports. His family includes his wife and two daughters, as well as two dogs and a cat.
Rendon, an Austin native, most recently worked as a Contract Specialist in the Statewide Procurement Division at the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Rendon has a bachelor’s degree and certification in business foundations from The University of Texas at Austin.
