Project Description

The West Central Texas Regional Foundation will work to fully include people with disabilities in faith-based communities in Callahan, Jones and Taylor counties.

  • Two educational symposiums will focus on best practices and ways to dispel misperceptions regarding disabilities.
  • A self-evaluation tool will help faith-based organizations assess their programs and physical structures with regard to persons with developmental disabilities.
  • An online directory of faith-based organizations listing accessible programs and structures will be published.
  • Assistance will also be provided to faith-based organizations to help them understand the benefits of inclusive programming and outreach techniques.
